For some reason I can't stay away from the Pokédex lately. I keep coming back to it whenever I sit down to work, and I keep having new ideas for entries. Is I type this I have six or seven new entries I'm really excited to do (though I limit myself to working on only one Pokédex entry at a time). It's possible there will still be quite a few new ones up in the coming weeks, though I am still working on other projects, I swear.
I really, really like the Charmander evolution line. We've already got Charmander on both sides of the 'dex, and now Charmeleon as well. Sooner or later I'll do a female Charizard (though it probably won't be the next NPF entry), and then it'll most likely be the first line to be complete in both NPM and NPF.
There are just a couple of days left to nominate for the Near Hentai Monthly Lady in September, if you haven't already. I'll be randomly selecting a nominee on the first, and posting the winner in the cBox as usual.

Here's a Pokédex entry that's been requested a few times. Gallade is a possible alternate evolution for male Kirlia as an alternative to Gardevoir. Now that he's been added to the Pokédex, all we need to wrap up the male side of this evolution chain is Kirlia. I don't think I'll be doing that one right away, but it's nice to know we're close to wrapping up another group. The male Pokédex seems to be on top of that, while for some reason I've been jumping around a lot more on the female side.
Gallade has this weird thing going on with his hips, where they poof out around him. I'm pretty sure it's meant to look like old-timey pantaloons (whatever name they might have, I don't really care), but every time I tried to incorporate them into the design of the humanized Gallade they looked silly. Honestly, I think they look a bit silly on the regular design, too. So, I decided to abandon the idea and instead just made his ass a bit bigger than I'd originally intended. So, for anyone noticing that, they weren't forgotten.
I've been trying really hard to make progress on the new comic pages, so as a result I'm not entirely sure when the next regular posts will be. I might be able to do another Pokédex entry soonish, though I'm aware that for some people Pokédex posts are the same as no posts at all. Still, I'll do my best to have some good content during the last week of August, and I'm excited to see what September will bring us. Patreon is creating a lot of new opportunities for variety, and of course I'm always excited to see who the random Near Hentai Monthly Lady will be.

Let me start off by saying I'm not happy with this picture. For some reason it never really clicked for me, and there were additional problems while working on it, but in the end the client was happy with it and that's what counts. I'm still posting it here for those of you who will also like it like he did, because my taste isn't the beginning and end of what people can enjoy. :)
I don't want to get into the issues I had with this pic, in case doing so might spoil it for people who do like it, but I will say I like some of the characters used. I've never played a Persona game, but I'm pretty familiar with the Shin Megami Tensei brand and I typically like the characters. P4 has several female characters I really dig, but I also like Teddie (the blonde whose face is obscured) quite a bit, and wouldn't mind doing a more concentrated picture some time featuring him. Kou (the bluish-grey-haired one with his feet sticking out) was also pretty cute in the anime episode focused on him, but I don't know if I'll ever draw him again. I don't really care for the other two guys in this pic, though.
The real good news, though, is that this is the last of the commissions I had lined up. I can now focus more on my own things, as commissions will remain closed for a while yet. I still have some Patreon ones that will be coming around when the month rolls over (one Patreon reward, plus the free one I'm raffling off), and I also I have a few special arrangements with friends that might crop up. Besides those, though, I'm looking forward to focusing on my comics, pumping out a few more Near Pokédex entries alongside a bunch more standalone pics. I'm really excited to getting back to deciding my own fate for a while until I'm desperate for money again.

This is a picture I started a long time ago. At the time I really wanted to try doing something with Red and Gold since, of all the protagonists from Pokémon games, they seem to be the best ones to pair up due to them having actually met on Gold's games. I thought it'd be cute to see them on the losing end of a duel with Team Rocket, so here we are. It's sort of like the video game version of this picture, now that I think about it. Once I got it started, though, it seemed like there was always something getting in the way of it being completed, but eventually I got around to wrapping it up. Hopefully you guys can enjoy the final product.
Tomorrow I'll be posting the last of my commissions I had lined up. That means I should be able to focus more on my comic projects now that I can take a short break from them (until my commission raffle on Patreon, at least). I'd like to make some more progress on those, since I know people are anxious for the next pages but I've barely scratched the surface on completing them.

I don't know what sparked it, but out of the blue last week I got a strong urge to do a Purrloin Pokédex entry. I even made plans for the male entry for the species, though I don't much think that will be the next NPM post. I just think they're super cute and, while I am focusing on the original 150, it's nice to do a newer one every now and again. After Gardevoir, this is only the second entry for the female side not from Gen I.
I have another Pokémon entry lined up for tomorrow, though it's not a 'dex one. Patreon sponsors have already seen it, but it's one I've had sitting half-complete in my work folder for a long time now. In the meantime I'm still working on the comic updates, each of the three currently has at least one completed panel. Hopefully they'll be done in a couple weeks, but who knows?

Let me start off by saying that this is not a new ongoing comic. At this time all that's been paid for is this single page, and it was paid for at the regular standalone price for an image. I included a number in the title because the commissioner implied that he might pay for a follow-up page at some point, but nothing is set in stone and even if he does I doubt it'll ever come to much more than that.
This was an interesting image, as the client sent me panels from an existing doujin for reference. The reference images featured much more exaggerated proportions than I typically like to do, but in this case I used them, which is why Chi-Chi has a much more unrealistic body type here than in most of my drawings of her. I know some people like this sort of physique, so hopefully they can enjoy this.
I have one more commission left in my queue, which I'll hopefully be able to get to work on over the weekend. After that, though, I think I'll take a break from commissions for a while (excluding the Patreon stuff), as I really need to get to work on the next batch of comics. It seems other things keep getting in the way, haha.

The Near Hentai Monthly Lady for August 2016 is Nancy 'Buddy' Armstrong of the popular RPG Maker series "LISA". I've never played any of these games, but I've been hearing more and more about them this month, though part of that just might be me noticing them more because of this picture.
I only did a cursory bit of research for this picture. What I saw of the games seemed vaguely post-apocalyptic, with most of the game looking desert-esque and having lots of grotesque mutants. I decided to go with a simple approach with the picture and have Buddy paired up with some random guy. I tried to keep some of her more recognizable design elements, since her appearance changes throughout the game(s). This one had a unique challenge for me, since I typically base my art style on whatever source material I have, and here I only had a pixely game sprite and some fan art to go off of. Hopefully fans of the game will still be able to recognize her and appreciate this piece.
Now that this month's entry is posted, feel free to nominate anyone you'd like to see show up in next month's Monthly Lady. Remember that nominations have to be someone I haven't drawn (or, at least, haven't drawn in a few years). One nomination per person, and I'll announce the random winner on September 1st in the cBox.

The fifth page of Space Warped closes out our prologue. Here we finally see the method by which Goten and Trunks will be hopping universes. The next update for this comic will be the first page of Chapter 1, where we see exactly where/when the boys end up. Unlike the prologue, the chapters will contain sex, so all you who were upset over the time skip in TL's castle need not worry.

So this month over at my Patreon, I did a test run on a concept I'm calling my "free commission raffle". Basically, I took all the Patrons whose payments went through at the start of the month, and used a randomizer to select one who then got a free $50 commission from me. This is what they asked for, a picture of Shōyō Hinata and Tobio Kageyama from the popular volleyball anime Haikyū!!
This picture was fun to work on. I'm not terribly familiar with Haikyū!!, but the characters are cute and I can see why this ship is popular among yaoi fans. While working on this pic I added a new goal to my Patreon, stating that if we hit $100 per month I would make the raffle a monthly feature over there. We hit that goal, so now at the start of each month I'll raffle off a free commission to every Patron whose payments went through. The higher paying tiers have a better shot at winning, but even the $1 tiers could potentially get a free commission (they would have to be my Patron for four years before spending that much on me, statistically almost guaranteed to have won the raffle at least once in that time). If you're interested in this new Patreon reward, you can check out my account here: https://www.patreon.com/Nearphotison.

Ever since I first started this Pokédex, one entry people have wanted to see was Charizard. So, I finally did one, and in doing so we now have our first fully completed evolution line (and all in the same gender, too!). When I started I wouldn't have guessed that the Charmander line would be the first one to do this, but that's the way the chips fell.
There's been discussion in the past about whether the larger Pokémon like Charizard would still be on the receiving end in this series, and I hope this pic settles that debate. Followers of my blog should know by now that I have no problem with the physically smaller partner pitching to a larger one (or a weaker person topping a stronger one). I've drawn plenty of pictures like that before, and these are no different. That's not to say I won't ever draw Pokémon topping their partners, but when I do it won't be part of this series.
I might be taking a short break from the Pokédex. I really want to finish some of the "must-do" items on my to do list, namely commissions and the NHML for this month. One of those items should be going up tomorrow, and hopefully the others won't be far behind.

For a few years now I've wanted to do something with Sonnie the Sluthog. I even tried to do a comic with him once, going so far as to contact TheCon and Habbodude (who I believe are responsible for this version of Sonic, though I don't know for sure) and ask them if I could make a comic. Back then I was trying to do comic's all at once before posting them, instead of the page-by-page system I use today and, like all the comics I tried to do back then, it ended up dying off. It seems my interest in Sonnie comes and goes, and every time I tried to do something with him I would end up losing interest before it could be finished.
So this time when I got the urge to draw Sonnie again, I decided to just do a quick and simple picture instead. I think it's funny how sharply the colors of this one contrast with yesterday's post, but I wanted to try something more candy-colored here. I'd like to do more with this version of Sonic, maybe draw some of the other Sonic characters in similar fashion at some point. Let me know if you like this sluttified, bimbo Sonic or if you'd like to see Tails, Shadow, and the rest of the gang get similar treatment.

Here's a commission I recently finished, featuring Nanashi and Kotaro from a film called "Sword of the Stranger". The basic set-up of the film is a pretty popular one in Japan, with a mysterious badass ronin (Nanashi, or "No Name") taking on and protecting a cute kid (Kotaro) and his dog (Tobimaru). The idea for this pic was to have Nanashi and Kotaro keep each other warm on a snowy night with body heat.
I saw bits and pieces of this film while doing my research for the pic. It's pretty violent and dark at points, but I think fans of samurai films will probably really enjoy it. The non-action parts with Nanashi and Kotaro are pretty cute, too. Kotaro's adorable, I'm not sure this pic does him justice. If you guys like this one, the client's hinted at a desire to commission more of these two in other settings, so it's possible they'll crop up around here again.

I've been getting a lot of great suggestions as to which Pokédex entries I should do, and one that got me thinking was Arbok. At the time it didn't come up which gender I should use, but I really liked the idea of a female Arbok, so I ran with it. I debated back and forth on how I wanted to do some aspects of her design, mostly the lower-half of her body. I considered giving her a snake's body from the waist down, but in the end decided it would be better to let her have legs and instead have the snake tail come out like any other reptile tail.
I haven't made any decisions yet as to which Pokémon I want to give the Near Pokédex treatment yet, but it will probably be one for the male entries. I'm still wanting to do more Eeveelutions on the female side, but I also want to keep going back and forth between the genders for now, especially since the females are already ahead content-wise.

Here's the newest page of Space Warped. We jump forward a bit to after the fun parts here. I know some of you may be disappointed there, but Malezor's plan for the Time Lord has always been to bring him in for the comic's finale. With that in mind, we wanted to keep that special by saving a full sex scene with him until then.
Instead, the precocious Trunks and Goten decide to explore his castle a bit. There's one more page of the prologue left after this one, and then after that we'll get to the real meat of the comic.

As promised, here's the fourth page of "A Trip to the Past". In this page Gohan decides it's his responsibility to help Goten and Trunks with their boners, since he caused them and all. He helps out the only way he knows how.
This is the last of the three pages I was working on concurrently, and I've already begun production on the next batch (SES, ST, TTN). I've also wrapped up the next page of Space Warped, and barring some unforeseen complication I should have it posted here tomorrow morning. Hope you guys enjoy all the new comic pages!

I know a few of you have been waiting a long time for this, but now Sleepover Raid page seven is finally out. Things escalate quickly here (though, of course, it's not the first time for this comic), and the number of panels needed to convey the developments of this page are at least in part responsible for the long delay. My own slowness and schedule, plus the multiple computer problems, are also to blame.
This is the page where we finally lead up to the endgame of this comic, with the sleepover participants ganging up on poor Helen. The girls aren't happy at all with her trying to shut things down, and Trunks and Goten are perfectly happy to go along with whatever the girls have planned. Due to the number of them, Helen is powerless to stop them, unless she were to maybe use her Elastigirl powers. Of course then she'd be exposing her families secret, so that option's probably off the table.
Some of you may have noticed I've added a new tag, "Xoverse", to the SR pages. This tag is to indicate anything that is cannon within the crossover universe this comic takes place in. Currently that's only the commissions of the client who wrote SR, but I have plans for other stories and situations set in this universe, so I thought this tag would be handy. Anything tagged "Xoverse" is canon with other posts carrying the tag.
As I mentioned in the cBox, A Trip to the Past will update tomorrow. I've already begin working on scripts for Space Emperor Slut, Special Training and Titans Tower Nights, which will be my next batch of updates. I'm also in the process of coloring the next page of Space Warped, but I can't say for certain when that will be done. Should be within a week, though.

A few weeks ago, I wanted to do a picture with some heavy perspective in it. I thought I could use the practice, so I spent some time on this. I decided to also take the opportunity to try a show I've never done before, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, since I thought I could also use the practice in drawing characters in different styles. FHFIM is one of those shows I'd never really worked with before, partly due to the show's very stylized character designs, so doing this pic with Frankie was killing two birds with one stone. Once it was drawn, though, this one was a very quick color job.
Foster's was a show I didn't see much of when it first started. It aired during a period of my life when I was too old for cartoons, but not old enough to enjoy them the way I do now. From about 2005-2010 I watched practically no cartoons at all, so I missed most of this show's run. When I started getting back into cartoons I did go back and watch some Foster's though, since I knew the creative team behind it was good, and I liked it. It's not my favorite McCracken/Faust cartoon by any means, but I liked it. Even when I had first seen the first few episodes as a kid, though, I knew Frankie was hot. Hopefully I can draw more of her in the future.
For some reason, I really, really like pairing Frankie with Bloo. I don't know what it is about those two, maybe just all the tension between them in the show, but I love the idea of Frankie/Bloo a lot. I'd like to do more with them in the future, maybe try throwing Mac in their for good measure. I dunno, let me know what you guys think of this style for Foster's. I went pretty anime with this version of Frankie, but I could try drawing her more like the show, too.

Here's another commission I did recently, and the first straight pic I've had to share with you guys in a while. Here we see Kyoko Sakura having some fun at her favorite hangout, the arcade.
The client was wanting to see some interesting colors for this one due to the setting. While there was the temptation to have the pic be extremely dark with neon pinks and green or something, when looking at actual scenes in the show's arcade they were usually brightly lit. I decided to go with that option (using the exact colors from the show) since, not only did I think it looked better, but it also made it easier to see the crowd that's gathered around them.
It's been a long time since I watched Madoka Magica, but at the time I enjoyed it (less so the movies that followed). Kyoko was one of my favorite characters, I thought she was a lot of fun and had a really cute design. I always thought I would draw either her or Sayaka eventually, but surprisingly it took a commission for me to actually get around to drawing one of them. Hopefully I'll get around to more of the Madoka girls eventually, they're all really cute in their own ways. Plus, it's nice to see them getting to have some fun after all they went through in the series. ^_^

Sorry for the long pause with no updates. I'm still getting used to the new laptop, and things are progressing slower than I'm used to. While I've been practicing I've started several standalone pics, and hopefully some of those will end up finished and on the blog before too long.
This is another of the recent block of commissions I accepted, one of the two that had to be put off due to my computer problems. In this case it's a Hunter × Hunter piece. I never watched the anime, and only read the first volume of the manga (about a decade ago, at that), so I'm not terribly familiar with these characters or their world. However, since I've gotten numerous requests to draw H×H in the past, I figured this commission was a good chance to test the waters. So, if people seem to like this one I might try and do some more H×H stuff in the future.
